Day 17

I loved our flight on the London Eye. This is a "must do" for anyone who visits London. The view from the eye is overwhelming! On a clear day you can see 25 miles in each direction.

A few sites to be seen from the London Eye: Covent Garden, Buckingham Palace, St. Paul's Cathedral, the Millennium Bridge, the British Museum, and miles of the River Thames.

The wheel has egg-shaped pods around the outside that carry passengers. These enclosed "rooms" make The Eye fun to ride, even when it's raining like it was today. The wheel hardly ever stops moving, so you have to step carefully when getting in and out of your pod.

Since opening in 2000, it has become a London icon. It has been featured in movies and televisions shows. While making our video, people in other pods were taking pictures of us. Maybe they thought we were famous and were making the next Hollywood hit!

I hope you enjoy the city at sunset. Even on a rainy and cloudy day I don't think there is any night skyline that can compare!

With my head in the clouds,
