Tasty Thai
Day 23

You may notice that I have become the unofficial ProjectExplorer food correspondent. This is a job title that I am happy (and very proud) to have.

Today, we visited Busaba Eathai in Central London. We set up at a large square table in the corner so we had some room to move around without getting in the away of other customers. The funny thing about filming in public places like restaurants is that no matter what we do we always seem to attract a small crowd of curious individuals.

I took a look at the menu and was a bit overwhelmed. There was so much to choose from and we did not know where to begin. So the manager suggested a number of dishes and yummy fruit drinks for us to try.

The staff at Busaba prepared several dishes that were good examples of the type of ingredients and flavors that are typical in Thai cooking. Pumpkin curry, coconut rice, Pad Thai, and green curry chicken are just a few of the foods we got to try at this amazing restaurant.

Everything we ate was so exotic; so many unique flavors. Thai food tries to balance sweet, salty, spicy, and fresh flavors. I think my favorite was the pumpkin curry, it was not too spicy. I also liked the Mango Lassi, which was a sweet yogurt drink like a smoothie. Yogurt is good for you and helps digestion; most Thai and Indian restaurants serve Lassis. One of the best parts of traveling to a new place is trying different types of cuisine.

If you've never had Thai food, I strongly recommend it. A total party in your mouth! I loved this place.

La gon (Thai for good-bye),
