The environment is everything that is around us. It includes the air, trees, animals, and people.
People, plants, and animals all rely on their environment to keep them alive. Different animals and plants can live in very different environments. For example, a cactus grows best in the dry desert, but a palm tree grows best in hot, humid areas.
