Meet the Explorer: Jenny M. Buccos |
|
Hometown: Fonda, New York. Favorite Food: Chocolate or coconut. Better yet, anything that has BOTH chocolate and coconut. One musician I’m really into right now: Fela Kuti from Nigeria. When I was little I wanted to be: A lawyer. Places I’d really like to visit: Morocco and Tanzania are at the top of my wish-list. I will travel almost anywhere and I have a goal of visiting 100 countries. One thing I can’t travel without: My passport, obviously, and I don’t go anywhere without my camera. Things I miss most when travelling: Home-cooked food, cartoons, and my bed. One thing that really scares me: Snakes! Even cartoon snakes frighten me. The most daring thing I’ve ever done: I started my own company -- ProjectExplorer.org! Favorite ProjectExplorer experience: Having tea with Archbishop Desmond Tutu. ProjectExplorer.org Expeditions: England, South Africa, Jordan, México, Haiti, Thailand, Central America, Mauritius, Azerbaijan, and the 2013 British Empire project. While working in South Africa, she was given a Zulu name - Mbali. She answers to both names! When not filling her passport with stamps, Jenny calls New York City home. |
