George O'Garro

Treasurer

George is a Banker in the J.P. Morgan Private Bank Financial Sponsors Group responsible for delivering the firm’s wealth management capabilities. His team advises clients on customized investment management, trust and estate planning advice, credit and banking services to professional investors, wealthy families and their related charitable organizations. The team overseas client assets in excess of $10 billion.

Previously, George was a Surface Warfare Officer and Engineer in the United States Navy. He was the Auxiliaries Engineering Officer onboard the USS Gary managing 11 personnel and responsible for all auxiliary engineering systems onboard. Prior to the USS Gary, George was the Electrical Engineering Officer onboard the USS Whidbey Island managing 12 personnel and responsible for all electrical systems onboard. He deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Somali Anti-piracy, and Eastern Pacific Counter-Illicit Trafficking operations.

George received a BS from the United States Naval Academy and a Masters of Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He has travelled extensively both personally and professionally having visited all 50 states and 7 continents and over 60 countries. He currently lives in New York with his wife and two daughters.
